Name: Front Bridge

Purpose: Activate core muscles.


Starting Position: Push the Evolution Chair against the wall. Place forearms on the ball and extend your legs away from the Evolution Chair so your body is in a flat bridge.
 


Execution: Push your chest off of the Evolution Chair and forearms so there is a 90 degree angle between your upper and lower arm. Hold for progressively increasing amounts of time starting at 15 sec.

 


Regression: Increase the distance between your feet to provide a wider base of support.


Progression: Narrow your feet to decrease the base of support. To progress the exercise further, try completing the exercise away from the wall to decrease stability. After progressing to a 1 minute with the Evolution Chair away from the wall, try the front bridge on a single leg for 15 seconds per leg.
