August/September 2007
Greetings!
Posture Perfect Solutions Ltd. designed the
Evolution Chair to introduce a dynamic element to the
sitting experience. For optimum health benefits, we
recommend keeping active outside of the office
environment too. In this issue, we feature an article by
Dr. David Cruz on the importance of
hydration. |
| Exercise - Got Water? |
|
| by Dr. David Cruz, BS. MA.
DC
Forgetting
to stay hydrated can be hazardous to your
health.
Does that mean that you should give up exercising
outside? Absolutely not! However, you do need to become
better informed about how to safely be physically active
outdoors when it's hot, even if you don't think you're
exerting yourself.
The human body is made up of 50-75% water, which in
hot weather may become dehydrated causing you to lose as
much as 6% of body weight increasing the risk for heat
stroke.
Dr. David Cruz, BS. MA. DC of San Rafael
California practices at Marin Orthopedics & Sports
Medicine Chiropractic Rehabilitation focusing on
prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of neck and
back injuries, as well as promoting principles of a
healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Cruz is also the
founder & president - WebExercises® a web based software company enabling

demonstrations of exercises to patients via email for
viewing at home, work, or when traveling.

Starting Position - Begin by
sitting on the Evolution Chair and place both hands on
table or desk surface.
Movement - Slowly lower
shoulders toward knees as hands simultaneously slide
forward on table until a gentle stretch is felt behind
and underneath arm. Hold for 30 seconds. Repeat for
prescribed repetitions.
WebExercises.com a
program for healthcare providers features an on-line
library of rehabilitation exercises and stretches
(1,000+) for patient management during all phases of a

"The evolution chair is a good illustration of
cost vs value.
When I consider how much better my back
feels and how improved my posture is, it's definitely
worth the price. I wouldn't have bought the second
chair if I didn't feel that it was worth it. I'm
paying for the thought and design as well as the
materials.
So thanks for putting out a good
product, and for standing behind what you
sell."
