Strongcore: Posture Care Training

We have all seen the person
who walks into the room and has a presence. They
exude confidence and even seem to carry themselves
taller. Their secret – is that they most likely
have good posture!
What does your posture say about
you? Body awareness is
critical, as poor posture actually forces your
body to work harder. At first some of the
corrections will feel foreign & uncomfortable
and trying to maintain correct posture will seem
tiring. This is normal and will pass quickly once
your weak and unused muscles get
stronger.
The key to improved posture
is awareness that is 24/7. That means, how is your
posture while you are sitting, standing, walking
and even sleeping.

Sitting on your Evolution Chair is very
self-explanatory. However, we have the secret to
optimizing your work-day by using your Evolution
Chair as an invaluable tool for connecting your
mind and body.
Before you tackle an exercise, it’s
important to know how to engage your core muscles
as you sit. Give this exercise a try and see how
aware you will be of your posture and alignment
after. And don’t forget to have a little fun with
it.
EXERCISE: THE HULA Is your
mind trailing off again to faraway places,
beaches, grass skirts and swimsuits? Swimsuits!!!
Instead of getting panicky and scanning the
horizon for a big palm frond to hide behind,
better to get your 'bod' bathing suit-ready! PAC
it in. Squeeze those abs and move the hips side to
side. The ball will move slightly under you.
Resist moving quickly and imagine your waist is
shrinking as you do ten to fifteen full hulas.
Feel the breeze from the ocean, smell the salt and
suntan lotion.
Jane has
spent fourteen years refining knowledge and skills
while working with hundreds of clients and class
participants. Jane is also a professional speaker
and delivers two programs, 'Warrior Within' and
'One Minute Genius'.
